M365 / Azure Operations Engineer (m/f/d)
Our partner is an established IT service company in the field of managed cloud & outsourcing services. They operate several hundred servers in their own data centres and offer state-of-the-art IT service solutions in the areas of storage, backup, networking, archiving, security, etc.
The implementation of IT projects with subsequent operation and maintenance requires profound expertise, extensive experience, process mastery, creativity, and absolute reliability. Role:
Rethink IT operations instead of just fixing faults
You don’t just want to keep IT environments running but continuously make them more efficient? In this role, you combine demanding troubleshooting with standardisation, automation, and the targeted use of new technologies. You identify recurring problems, develop sustainable solutions, and contribute ideas on how to improve daily IT operations through intelligent processes and AI support.
Responsibilities:
You analyse complex faults across various systems and infrastructure components and ensure sustainable resolution.
You manage customer environments with a focus on Microsoft 365, Azure, and modern IT infrastructure and continuously develop them further.
You identify recurring incidents and manual tasks and convert them into standardised or automated processes.
You identify suitable AI use cases for ticket handling, error analysis, and operational process optimisation.
You collaborate with engineering and service management to align technical and service-related requirements.
You support the introduction of new services and solutions and take on partial responsibility in projects.
You occasionally visit customers on site to better understand technical contexts and implement improvements directly in practice.
You take responsibility as the technical contact person for your customer portfolio and represent colleagues if necessary.
Qualifications:
You have an IT education in system technology, platform development, or a comparable qualification.
You bring several years of experience in IT operations or system engineering.
You have solid knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and infrastructure technologies.
You can systematically narrow down faults, set priorities, and assess solutions beyond individual systems.
You have initial experience with automation and standardisation or are interested in the practical use of AI in IT operations.
You communicate clearly, work independently, and consistently think from the customer’s perspective.
You hold a category B driving licence.
You speak German very well and can communicate well in English.
