For an established Swiss technology company, we are looking for an experienced Linux Platform Engineer who takes technical responsibility and actively develops modern platform, monitoring, and logging infrastructures.
Responsibilities:
You operate and optimise central logging and analysis platforms with Splunk and Cribl, ensuring their stability and further development.
You design and maintain modern monitoring and observability solutions with Zabbix, Grafana, and Prometheus.
You further develop Kubernetes and container platforms with Rancher, Helm, and ArgoCD and optimise their operation.
You automate infrastructure processes with Ansible and develop standardised, reusable automation solutions.
You manage Linux-based platforms as well as database environments with PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and MySQL.
You implement technical standards for security, operation, and automation and optimise existing platform architectures.
You take technical responsibility in infrastructure projects, system changes, and rollouts.
You analyse complex faults in 3rd-level support and ensure stable platform operation together with your team, including rotating on-call duty.
Qualifications:
Completed IT training or comparable qualification as well as several years of experience in Linux system engineering and platform engineering
At least 3 years of experience with Linux, Ansible, and infrastructure automation
Willingness to participate in on-call duty
Experience with Splunk and/or Cribl as well as experience with logging and analysis platforms
Experience in monitoring and observability with Zabbix, Grafana, and/or Prometheus
Experience with Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, and ArgoCD as well as container technologies; knowledge of HAProxy or Traefik
Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or MySQL; Python or Go skills are an advantage
Experience in IT projects
Very good German and good English skills
