As Head of IT Platform Services, you shape the global IT infrastructure and influence the technological direction of an internationally active company. You take overall responsibility for the IT and OT platform services and lead a department with a total of 28 employees and three direct reports. Together with your management team, you shape the strategic and operational direction of the Digital Workplace, Network & Security, and Infrastructure areas. You further develop the organisation, strengthen cybersecurity, and set impulses for automation and AI. In doing so, you combine technical understanding with strategic foresight and create a powerful IT that meets the requirements of the company and its international locations.

Your main tasks

• Overall responsibility for the secure, stable, and high-performance operation as well as the continuous development of the global IT and OT platform services
• Leadership of the Digital Workplace, Network & Security, and Infrastructure areas with a total of 28 employees and three direct reports, as well as technical leadership of further teams at the international locations in Germany, China, and the USA
• Strategic alignment of the global IT and design of the infrastructure and cloud architecture in coordination with the management team and business requirements
• Management of strategic initiatives in the areas of cybersecurity, automation, and AI
• Management and strategic development of technology partners and service providers considering quality, security, risks, and cost-effectiveness
• Design of a modern, agile, and service-oriented IT organisation as well as promotion and development of leaders and talents

Your profile

• At least 5 years of leadership experience in an international IT organisation with strategic and operational responsibility
• University degree in computer science, engineering, or a comparable field; additional training or further education in leadership is an advantage
• Broad understanding of modern IT and OT infrastructures, cloud architectures, and cybersecurity as well as the ability to classify technological contexts and make well-founded strategic decisions
• Strong competence in leading and developing international teams as well as in shaping organisational changes, ideally in a complex production environment
• Professional background in a technology- or production-related environment, preferably in MedTech, pharmaceutical, or automotive industry or a similarly regulated sector
• German and English skills at least at C1 level as well as strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
