Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer & Consultant (m/f/d)

Role:
Our client supports small and medium-sized enterprises in planning, modernising, and maintaining their IT system landscapes. The working environment is personal and versatile: you work in a manageable team, are in direct contact with customers, and independently implement technical solutions. In addition to the stable operation of existing systems, infrastructure projects and migrations are part of your responsibilities. We are looking for a practical professional who enjoys taking responsibility and approaches technical challenges in a structured manner.
Responsibilities:
Technical support and continuous development of IT system landscapes for business customers
Monitoring, maintenance, and updating of servers and other infrastructure components
Planning and implementation of IT projects for SMEs
Migration and maintenance of virtualisation, storage, as well as backup and restore solutions
Analysis of technical requirements and development of suitable infrastructure concepts
Creation and updating of technical documentation
Remote support as well as personal assistance to customers on site
Qualifications:
Completed training in computer systems engineering or an equivalent qualification
Ideally further training in the technical or organisational field at HF or FH level
Solid practical experience with Microsoft server environments and VMware
Several years of experience with storage and data backup systems such as HPE, Fujitsu, Acronis or Synology
Conceptual thinking, analytical skills and a solution-oriented working style
Independent, resilient and reliable personality with a strong sense of responsibility
Enjoyment of customer contact, support and varied technical tasks
Very good German skills; additional language skills in English, French or Italian are an advantage
Category B driving licence and willingness to work at customer sites
