Operational Ambulance Manager - ProVi Coordinator (100%)

The Protection and Rescue Service of the City of Lausanne (SPSL) is an emergency service composed of professional firefighters, ambulance staff, the advanced medical post, civil protection, the fire police, and the La Rama training centre. Its units operate 24/7. The ambulance service consists of around fifty staff fully dedicated to their mission of assisting those in need. Following the creation of a new position, we are looking for an operational manager - ProVi coordinator.

Main Mission(s)

Lead and coordinate on-duty personnel (ambulance staff, ambulance technician staff, students) at the operational level and organise activities to ensure an adequate response to the service's mission orders

Take responsibility for an organisational division within the Ambulance Headquarters of the SPSL

Manage ambulance and SMUR interventions

Carry out administrative tasks related to the unit's missions

Profile

Diploma as an ES ambulance technician

Additional management training, preferred

Federal certificate as chief ambulance rescuer CEFOCA-CSAM or equivalent training, an asset

Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an ambulance technician

Management or team leadership experience

Organisational and coordination skills, initiative

Leadership, adaptability, interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit

Proficiency with common IT tools

Special Conditions

Irregular hours

On-call service

Driving licence (category B)

Heavy goods vehicle driving licence

Clean criminal record (ordinary and special)
