Role:
Do you prefer to solve technical challenges at the root cause rather than the symptom? In this position, you combine classic infrastructure expertise with Azure, Microsoft 365, automation and modern operating models – with a great deal of direct influence on the quality and further development of sophisticated IT environments.
Responsibilities:
Engineering and operation of hybrid IT infrastructures in various customer environments
Technical analysis, design and implementation of new infrastructure components
Further development of Windows and Microsoft-based platforms
Building and optimisation of modern Azure and Microsoft 365 services
Implementation of cloud migrations and modernisation initiatives
Development of automated operational and administration processes
Use of PowerShell to standardise and reduce manual tasks
Administration of identity and access solutions with Active Directory and Entra ID
Support of virtualisation platforms and central infrastructure services
Design of robust backup and recovery strategies
Analysis of performance, network and availability issues
Handling complex technical escalations
Planning and implementation of infrastructure projects
Technical coordination of implementations and changes
Sharing know-how within the engineering team
Establishing standards for monitoring, security and documentation
Qualifications:
Several years of professional experience in system engineering, cloud engineering or infrastructure operations
Solid Microsoft knowledge and confident handling of Windows Server
Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365
Practical knowledge in Active Directory, Entra ID and endpoint management
Good knowledge of networking, virtualisation and backup
Experience with PowerShell or comparable automation solutions
Enjoyment of complex troubleshooting and technical challenges
Experience in direct customer environments or in a managed service organisation is an advantage
Strong initiative and solution-oriented thinking
Ability to communicate technical matters clearly
Willingness to take responsibility for systems, projects and technical decisions
