For our client, an established Swiss company in the field of technical building automation and industrial control solutions, we are looking for an independent and professionally skilled individual as an Electrical Designer Building Automation / Control Technology 80-100% (m/f) in the Lucerne LU area.
In this role, you will handle electrical engineering tasks for sophisticated systems in building and energy technology. You will create electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical documentation, define components, and work closely with project management, control panel construction, assembly, and commissioning.
You can expect a varied role at the interface of electrical engineering, automation, control technology, and technical building infrastructure.
- Electrical design for control systems, control cabinets, and automation solutions in the building technology environment
- Design of controls, sensors, actuators, controllers, drives, safety components, and field devices
- Prepare manufacturing and assembly documents for control cabinet construction, wiring, and system installation
- Technical clarifications with project management, automation, control panel construction, assembly, purchasing, and external partners
- Adapt and optimise existing electrical schematics during conversions, expansions, or modernisations
- Support commissioning, technical inspections, and queries from assembly or service
- Maintain article data, macros, project documents, and technical documentation
- Ensure clean, standard-compliant, and service-friendly documentation
- Participate in standardisation, process improvements, and quality assurance in engineering
- Experience in electrical design, control panel construction, control cabinet construction, building automation, or technical building equipment
- Good knowledge of EPLAN P8, AutoCAD Electrical, schematic software, or comparable ECAD systems
- Understanding of control technology, regulation technology, sensors, actuators, control cabinets, and field devices
- Experience with HVAC systems, refrigeration/air conditioning technology, energy systems, or building technology is an advantage
- Ability to create electrical schematics that are clean, logical, and manufacturing-compliant
- Knowledge of standards, safety requirements, and electrical regulations is an advantage
- Practical thinking and understanding of assembly, wiring, commissioning, and service
- Structured, precise, and solution-oriented working style
- Good German language skills, spoken and written

Profile
- Completed training as an automation technician, electrical planner, electrical designer, electrical installer with industrial or control technology experience, or comparable qualification- Experience in electrical design, control panel construction, control cabinet construction, building automation, or technical building equipment
- Good knowledge of EPLAN P8, AutoCAD Electrical, schematic software, or comparable ECAD systems
