Installation, configuration, and commissioning of individual Linux systems as well as technical handover and training of customers
Ensuring the reliable operation of customer systems including support, maintenance, and fault analysis as well as support of the internal Linux infrastructure
Technical evaluation and validation of new hardware platforms for pre-production use as well as analysis of hardware and firmware issues under Linux
Conducting benchmarking, performance analyses, and system tests to assess and optimise hardware and software
Development and implementation of technical improvements to increase system stability, performance, and reliability in collaboration with customers and internal teams
Qualifications:
Solid practical experience in Linux administration and operation of Linux-based systems, ideally with RHEL, SLES, Debian or comparable distributions
Very good knowledge of Bash scripting as well as experience with other scripting or automation languages
Strong skills in troubleshooting, fault analysis, and systematic problem solving as well as a high willingness to learn new technologies
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style with a pronounced hands-on mentality and technical understanding
Confident manner in customer contact as well as very good German and English skills spoken and written
