System Engineer - Linux/MS Infrastructure & Security (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF90,000 - 110,000Role:
You ensure that IT systems, networks and technical work environments function reliably. You manage the internal infrastructure and simultaneously support the installation and operation of specialised systems for customers. The combination of classic IT administration, network technology and practical system integration makes this role particularly versatile.
Responsibilities:
You plan, operate and maintain Windows and Linux systems, servers, clients and virtualisation platforms.
You configure and manage networks with routing, switching, VLANs, DNS/DHCP and VPN as well as firewalls and IP telephony.
You take care of patch management, endpoint protection, access controls and system hardening.
You support the engineering team in the installation, configuration and commissioning of stationary and mobile systems.
You analyse technical faults and conduct tests in the laboratory or directly at the customer site.
You manage hardware, licences, peripherals and programmable hardware dongles.
You maintain technical documentation and develop tools to simplify support and testing processes.
Qualifications:
Completed IT training EFZ, further education in system engineering or cyber security, or a comparable qualification at HF/FH level
At least two to three years of professional experience in system administration, network technology or system integration
Sound knowledge of Windows, Linux and IP networks
Practical skills in building and commissioning technical systems
Confident German language skills and very good English skills
Independent, quality-conscious working style, security awareness and team spirit
