Role:
Do you want to take technical responsibility for a demanding IT landscape and actively shape its future? Do you know how to operate complex infrastructures stably, securely and efficiently while driving forward new technological developments? In this key position, you combine strategic thinking with operational implementation, set technical standards and further develop both the system landscape and collaboration within the IT department.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the technical direction and reliable operation of a complex IT infrastructure. This includes network, servers, virtualisation and modern workplace solutions.
You continuously develop the security architecture, establish effective protective measures and ensure structured vulnerability, update and permission management.
You design hybrid cloud and workplace concepts based on Microsoft technologies and optimise central management of devices, applications and user environments.
You ensure high availability through appropriate monitoring, backup and recovery concepts and take over technical coordination in critical disruptions.
You manage infrastructure projects, lead external technology partners and work closely with specialist departments and internal experts. You are also responsible for the stable operation of business-critical applications.
Qualifications:
You have at least ten years of experience in infrastructure engineering and have worked several years in a senior technical role.
You possess comprehensive know-how in network technologies, firewalling, virtualisation and Windows server environments.
You are proficient in the Microsoft ecosystem, especially with Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and Intune, and are familiar with modern operational and service processes.
You bring experience in automating IT processes and use scripting and infrastructure-as-code concepts purposefully.
You convince with your leadership skills, structured working style and communication ability. Very good German skills at least at C1 level are required. Additional vendor certifications are welcome.
