Role:

Complex IT infrastructures are your domain? We are looking for an experienced individual who comprehensively understands hybrid platforms and confidently integrates Windows, Azure, VMware, network, and storage. A versatile position for technically strong engineers who want to take responsibility, modernise systems, and ensure the stable operation of business-critical IT.

Responsibilities:

• Technical responsibility for the operation and continuous development of a hybrid IT infrastructure

• Administration of modern Microsoft and Azure platforms

• Support of virtualised server environments with VMware

• Ensuring stable and high-performance operation of server, storage, and network platforms

• Planning and implementation of lifecycle, patch, and update strategies

• Technical implementation of security measures and hardening concepts

• Support for rollouts, migrations, and infrastructure modernisations

• Support of database platforms and Microsoft SQL Server

• Assistance in the further development of network and connectivity concepts

• Administration of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and modern identity solutions

• Management of user accounts, roles, and permissions

• Participation in securing identities and access rights

• Technical involvement in infrastructure, cloud, and digitalisation projects

• Taking over sub-projects and coordinating technical implementation steps

• Analysis and resolution of complex faults at infrastructure and platform level

• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, standards, and operational concepts

• Ensuring professional support even during critical operational events

Qualifications:

• Several years of experience as a system engineer, infrastructure engineer, or IT infrastructure specialist

• Solid knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft infrastructures

• Very good practical experience with VMware and virtualised platforms

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architectures

• Good knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365

• Experience with SQL Server and basic database concepts

• Sound understanding of network, storage, and server technologies

• Knowledge of IT security, patch management, and system hardening

• Experience with infrastructure projects and technical migrations

• Independent and structured working style

• High sense of responsibility when handling critical systems and confidential information

• Strong service and team orientation

• Willingness for occasional on-call duty during critical operational events

• Education or degree in computer science, systems engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
