Tasks
Management of common land objects / properties: You support the team in managing common land objects and properties. You look after contract partners and permit holders, prepare invoices and independently take on administrative and organisational tasks.
Care and management of the travellers' site: You coordinate the registrations and deregistrations of travellers and represent the site manager. In the event of complaints and conflicts, you act professionally, confidently and solution-oriented even in demanding situations.
Accounting: You independently take on tasks in the accounting of the common land administration. This includes invoicing, dunning, payment agreements as well as carrying out the annual billing run.
Permitting and controls: You process simplified permit procedures for the use of public space, issue usage permits, maintain the corresponding data and independently carry out on-site controls.
Administration and legal remedies procedures: You take on administrative tasks for the common land administration, coordinate procurements as well as personnel and IT changes and ensure the administrative and timely processing of objections and appeals.
Profile
Experience: Preferably, you have basic knowledge of public law and know the city of Basel well. Furthermore, you bring SAP as well as advanced Word and Excel skills.
Personality: You have advisory and negotiation skills and can convey difficult messages appropriately to the target audience. You have a quick grasp, think in a networked way and can easily switch between different tasks.
Education: In addition to the three-year commercial training, specialising in administration, disposition and property management, you have at least three years of professional experience.
Language: You have good oral skills in French and English; knowledge of Italian is an advantage.

The Civil Engineering Office coordinates, plans, builds, documents and maintains the roads with the associated infrastructures and is responsible for the public sewage systems. It is responsible for flood protection and safe traffic routes. It also coordinates the uses of public space and is the lead authority in the permitting process. It collects and disposes of waste and ensures cleanliness in the city of Basel. The Civil Engineering Office makes an important contribution to a high quality of life in Basel and is part of the Department of Construction and Transport.
