Head of Vocational Training in Surgical Technology (m/f/d)

Do you want to actively shape the training of future surgical technology specialists and take on responsibility? In this role, your focus is on leading and further developing vocational training in the operating theatre area. As a member of the OR management team, you take responsibility for the practical training of our surgical technology students at the higher vocational level and lead the trainers at our locations in Rheinfelden and Villa Robersten.

You will drive

• Professional and organisational leadership of the surgical technology (OT) vocational training team as well as the higher vocational surgical technology students
• Conducting employee, development and appraisal interviews
• Organisation and leadership of vocational training meetings as well as participation in interdisciplinary committees
• Recruitment, support and cross-site coordination of the practical training of higher vocational surgical technology students
• Planning and coordination of training and personnel deployments for a smooth and economical operating theatre operation
• Management of training agreements and close cooperation with internal and external educational partners
• Ensuring and continuous development of training quality
• Combination of leadership and administrative duties as well as clinical work in the operating theatre (at 100% workload: 2 days leadership/administration, 3 days operating theatre)

You bring with you

• Diploma as Surgical Technology Specialist HF or equivalent qualification
• Several years of professional experience as a trainer in the operating theatre area
• Enjoyment in training and promoting junior staff
• Leadership experience or motivation to take on leadership responsibility
• Organisational skills, initiative and a structured way of working
• Strong social and communication skills
• Enthusiasm for the further development of modern training concepts
