The EPFL communication service, Mediacom, is seeking an experienced part-time (40-50%) social media and digital communication coordinator to strengthen its team.
The social media and digital communication coordinator will contribute to developing and strengthening EPFL's presence on social media by ensuring the dissemination and promotion of its content. They participate in monitoring and managing the School's online reputation and adapt content, formats, and tone to the specificities of each platform and its audiences, in accordance with EPFL's editorial strategy and identity.
- Contribute to the publication and promotion of EPFL content on social media, including scientific and institutional news, profiles, and other editorial content
- Ensure the adaptation and dissemination of audiovisual content across different platforms, notably by writing adapted texts and captions, selecting visuals, and creating thumbnails for videos
- Participate in monitoring, moderating, and animating EPFL's various platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Mastodon, X, and Reddit), including responding to comments and private messages, identifying sensitive content or interactions, and following publications from other School entities
- Contribute to tracking and analysing the performance of posts and platforms using key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify formats, topics, and practices likely to improve content visibility and engagement
- Participate in the editorial planning of social media and coordinate publications with other members of the Mediacom team
- Excellent writing skills in French and English
- Experience in digital communication and mastery of various social media platforms
- Knowledge and proficiency in graphic content creation tools
- Interest in scientific, technological, and academic fields and ability to make complex subjects accessible
- Analytical mind and creativity
- Ability to identify, anticipate, and manage sensitive topics or those that may present reputational risks with discernment
- Aesthetic sense and visual coherence of digital content
- Good interpersonal skills and a team spirit
