Product Engineer

Focuslight develops and manufactures state-of-the-art micro-optical components in Hauterive (Neuchâtel, Switzerland) and supplies customers worldwide.

As we continue to innovate and grow, we are currently seeking a:

Product Engineer

Your tasks

Product Engineering & Development

• Support the new product introduction process for microlens products by

a) DfM and feasibility assessment of new product inquiries.
b) Product definition according to the company existing capabilities or product platforms.
c) Product parameter design in close collaboration with the manufacturing engineering team.
d) Part and tooling design (technical drawing, photomask design).
e) Product validation activities and reporting.

• Ensure on-time delivery of sample and prototype lots.
• Support of quality team for root cause analysis and failure mode and effect analysis.
• Drive cost down activities as technical stakeholder.

Product Lifecycle Management

• Setup of part numbers in the ERP, including product specifications, BOMs (Bills of Materials).
• Maintenance and synchronization of product information in MES, ERP and CRM.
• Product cost analysis

Your profile

• Bachelor or Master in Microtechnology, Electrical Engineering or Physics or similar field.
• Solid background in semiconductor manufacturing technology and optics is a plus.
• Work experience: experience in a similar role is a plus.
• Programming: Experience in AI, Matlab, Python or similar scripting is a plus.
• Language: Fluent in French and English, Chinese or German is a plus.
• Software: Experience with ERP, mask design software is a plus.
