Good collaboration starts with a well-thought-out platform. As a Senior SharePoint Engineer, you will shape the next generation of an organisation-wide collaboration solution based on Microsoft 365 (M365). The focus is on migrating intranet content from Atlassian Confluence to a modern SharePoint Online environment. You will influence architecture, standards, and code quality and provide clear technical direction.
Responsibilities:
You design and develop modern solutions focusing on information architecture, permissions, search, and governance.
You take technical leadership in replacing the local data centre installation.
You build migration tools and integrations for metadata mapping, link integrity, redirects, and quality checks.
Furthermore, you extend scalable intranet functions such as navigation, publishing patterns, automations, and platform-wide components.
Additionally, you implement collaboration use cases from requirements to production operation.
You also lead code reviews, define standards, optimise CI/CD, and coach your colleagues.
Qualifications:
You have a degree in computer science or completed training as a software developer.
You have several years of senior experience in SharePoint development and administration, ideally with large, heavily used web systems in a regulated environment.
You develop secure, maintainable web solutions with TypeScript, JavaScript, modern frontend frameworks, and APIs.
You are familiar in detail with identity, permission, and governance concepts for organisation-wide platforms.
Moreover, you have planned, validated, and gradually implemented platform or content migrations.
You also convince as a pragmatic team player, communicate fluently in English, and manage bilingual content thanks to basic German knowledge.
