You are an electrician or automation technician through and through and want to take responsibility in the signalling systems sector. In an innovative environment, you will drive the digital advancement of infrastructure together with your team, making a visible contribution to the safety and punctuality of trains. Together you develop practical solutions for current challenges and implement them as a team. We support your professional development with internal training and further education, including a two-year training programme to become a signalling systems technician. You see irregular working hours and shift work as an advantage to enjoy your free time while others are working. Night and weekend work is additionally compensated, for example with an hourly wage supplement of 16 francs for Sunday work. For night shifts, you receive time bonuses of 10 to 30%, which gives you more free time. This is what you can achieve.

• You look after the construction, maintenance and servicing of signalling systems, ensuring safe and punctual rail traffic.
• You ensure the commissioning and decommissioning of electronic interlockings and relay interlockings.
• With your systematic approach, you identify irregularities and defects, report them and drive their rectification and improvements within the team.
• In the Sargans area, you work at various locations both indoors and outdoors, experiencing a varied working day.
• You complete an internal two-year training to become a signalling systems technician and learn to independently locate and rectify faults in internal systems.
• In on-call duty, you independently locate and rectify faults in safety systems.

This is what you bring with you.

• You enjoy working in a team, take responsibility and communicate clearly and solution-oriented.
• Safety is your priority and you approach tasks systematically to solve problems in a structured way.
• You have completed basic training with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ) in an electrical profession such as automation, electromechanics or electrical assembly, or have a comparable qualification.
• You have the necessary stamina for shift work. You are attentive, focused and physically resilient to successfully manage this demanding work in a 24-hour shift system. You also enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• To be able to perform on-call duty, you hold a category B driving licence. You have German language skills at level B2 in spoken and written form.
