Student Support Role in the Finance Department (m/f/d)
The Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ) is a joint research and service centre of ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. The FGCZ supports research projects of the working groups in natural sciences and medicine at both universities with the latest analytical technologies and application expertise. For our administrative team at the FGCZ, we are looking for reinforcement in the area of finance and accounting with immediate effect or by arrangement.
Project Background
In this role, you will work closely with a colleague and with the accounting and controlling departments of ETH and UZH, as well as with the centre's suppliers and users.
Job Description
- Carrying out internal and external cost allocation including recording in the accounting systems of ETH and the University of Zurich, dispatch and communication with debtors
- Pre-recording and filing of creditor invoices in FGCZ-owned and ETH and UZH systems including communication with the FGCZ Lab Manager and external suppliers
- Transfer and supplementation of SAP data in the FGCZ's internal systems
Profile
- Enrolled BWL Bachelor or Master student; commercial school graduate
- Analytical thinking, affinity for numbers
- Good knowledge of German and English (minimum B2 in spoken and written)
- Interest or experience in working with various IT systems (SAP and other internal systems)
- Good Excel skills
As a motivated, reliable and committed individual, you have an independent working style and are used to completing your tasks accurately, conscientiously and efficiently. Your quick grasp, proven service orientation and a pronounced flair for numbers make you a reliable team player.
We Offer
We offer an interesting and varied activity in an international team at the heart of the scientific environment. You will gain insight into the accounting processes of two universities. After successful training, you will be able to work independently and can arrange your working hours flexibly (by agreement). The position is limited to 12 months with the option of extension. We are interested in a long-term collaboration. Your workplace is the University Campus Irchel in Zurich with excellent infrastructure.
