In this role, as a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you take responsibility for building and further developing the company-wide Azure and container platform. You shape the technical foundation for development and data teams within a platform team environment and work closely with them. Within the IT organisation, you play a central role in governance, security, automation and observability of the cloud environment. You also bear overall responsibility for the stability, scalability and compliance of the cloud platform.
Responsibilities:
Building and further developing the Azure cloud platform with a focus on security, governance and scalability is part of your tasks
You accompany the migration from OpenShift to AKS and ensure reliable platform operation
With Terraform and GitHub Actions, you automate and standardise cloud resources and deployments
You support business and development teams with Azure and Power Platform solutions
Monitoring, logging, tracing and security-by-design are also part of your responsibilities
Qualifications:
You have a degree in computer science, systems engineering or a comparable field and 5+ years of professional experience
Your expertise includes Microsoft Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes/AKS, networking and identity management
Confident handling of CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Helm and observability is required
Knowledge of Azure Landing Zones, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud or Sentinel is a plus
You have excellent spoken and written German and English skills at C2 level
