Organised around four sectors — mobility, environment, green spaces and sustainability — the Mobility, Environment and Sustainability Service of the City of Yverdon-les-Bains defines and implements the municipal strategy for sustainable and multimodal mobility, ensures the protection of natural habitats and environmental monitoring, maintains and develops green heritage and biodiversity in urban areas, and supports, through the Sustainability Office, the implementation of the Sustainability Strategy and the municipal Climate Plan. It works in close collaboration with other City services as well as with the agglomeration, the region and the Canton.
In this context, the MED Service is looking for a Landscape Gardener 80% to 100%
Your main tasks:
- Maintain and develop green spaces, public parks as well as urban floral decorations.
- Carry out pruning and maintenance of trees and shrubs on public land.
- Participate in cultivation and production work within the horticultural establishment.
- Take part in the on-call service and ensure planned duties during weekends, special holidays and in case of particular weather events.
Your profile:
- Holder of a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a landscape gardener.
- At least 3 years of experience in a landscaping company.
- Very good knowledge and practice of differentiated maintenance.
- Holder of a category B driving licence, trailer licence and M1 licence.
- Licence for the use of phytosanitary and/or organic products is an advantage.
- Reliable, professional, autonomous and flexible person.
- Sensitivity and good ability to apply principles related to environmental management as well as health and safety at work.
