Chief Operating Officer – Industry (M/F/X)

On behalf of an international industrial group, we are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to take responsibility for a major industrial site located in the Swiss Jura.

The site employs nearly 500 staff and operates in a technical and international industrial environment, specialising in the design and manufacture of complex industrial solutions and equipment.

Mission:

• Manage industrial operations and ensure objectives for deadlines, quality and costs are met
• Durably improve industrial performance and OTD (On Time Delivery)
• Supervise production, industrialisation, purchasing, quality, supply chain, planning and logistics
• Optimise processes in an environment of small series, specific products and complex manufacturing
• Manage budgets, investments, costs, stocks and Make-or-Buy decisions
• Develop a culture of continuous improvement, digitalisation and automation
• Ensure HSE and regulatory requirements are met
• Define and implement the industrial strategy in collaboration with the group
• Unite and develop teams around a culture of performance and responsibility
• Collaborate with commercial functions and international contacts

Profile:

• 10 years or more experience in industrial management / operations roles
• Proven experience in a technical and international industrial environment
• Experience in small series production, specific products or Engineer-to-Order
• Ability to lead an industrial organisation of several hundred employees
• Strong culture of performance, costs, quality and meeting deadlines
• Higher technical education, ideally in mechanical engineering or engineering
• Fluent in French and English; German is an advantage
• Entrepreneurial, pragmatic and results-oriented leadership
