Role:
When compilers, toolchains, and build dependencies need to work together, thoughtful automation is crucial. We are looking for a technically skilled individual who modernises development infrastructures, intelligently orchestrates build processes, and supports software teams with stable, reproducible engineering workflows.
Responsibilities:
Development and maintenance of a scalable build infrastructure for extensive C++ and embedded projects
Modernisation of existing build systems and introduction of efficient automation concepts
Creation of containerised build environments using Docker and similar technologies
Development of standardised pipelines for compilation, testing, packaging, and release creation
Optimisation of build dependencies, caching strategies, and parallel execution to reduce build times
Integration of various compilers, cross-compilers, and embedded toolchains into automated processes
Development of scripts and tools to simplify recurring engineering tasks
Ensuring reproducible build results across different development environments and target systems
Integration of automated unit tests, static code analyses, and software quality checks
Further development of CI/CD platforms and improvement of developer experience through self-service workflows
Analysis of pipeline failures and sustainable resolution of infrastructural root causes
Qualifications:
Solid experience with build automation and software development infrastructures
Good knowledge of C++ build processes and ideally experience in embedded systems development
Experience with CMake, Ninja, Make, or comparable build tools
Practical experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD workflows
Knowledge of containerisation with Docker and working with Linux-based development environments
Programming experience with Python or Bash for developing internal automation solutions
Understanding of compilers, linkers, library dependencies, and cross-compilation
Experience with Git and platforms such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
Structured working style and strong interest in reliable, maintainable engineering systems
