About the job
To complete its team, the Clinical Oncology Department is looking for a receptionist at a workload of 80% to 100%, on a permanent contract. The starting date is planned for 1st October 2026.

Context:
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Coordinated Oncology Centre (CCO) of the Clinical Oncology Department (DOC) provides care for oncology patients and allows them to meet their referring physician during consultations and outpatient treatments, such as chemotherapy or immunotherapy.
The CCO brings together a team of highly qualified professionals from various disciplines who work closely together to ensure coordinated and quality patient care.
The administrative sector plays an essential role in the patient journey and contributes to the smooth running of clinical activities through its administrative skills. Mission:
- You welcome patients and their relatives, as well as visitors and colleagues, respecting institutional guidelines, values and principles
- You handle telephone reception, provide information and direct patients according to current procedures
- You carry out administrative management and appointment scheduling for outpatients
- You collaborate with the various partners involved in care and ensure liaison between the different stakeholders, the office and other services of the institution in a dynamic and proactive manner
- Depending on the service needs and your professional aspirations, you have the opportunity to undertake internships or replacements in medical assistant or medical secretary roles to develop your skills with a view to career progression.
Profile:
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma in Commercial Employment, training in reception or an equivalent qualification; a medical secretary diploma is an asset
- You have several years of professional experience in a reception role, ideally in a hospital or healthcare setting
- You possess excellent listening skills and a keen sense of hospitality, enabling you to respond professionally to numerous and varied requests
- You know how to manage priorities, analyse and synthesise information from different interlocutors
- You demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, flexibility and excellent adaptability, essential for the smooth running of the service
- Your spirit of mutual support and collaboration allows you to work effectively within a large team
- You are comfortable with IT tools and show great rigour in your work
- You master common IT tools (Microsoft Office)
- You have an excellent command of French, both spoken and written; knowledge of a foreign language is an asset.
