Integrated into the Development Department of Hermès Horloger and more specifically into the Technical Office, the Mechanical Manager organises and supervises the manufacture of tooling and ensures its maintenance while guaranteeing compliance with requests. They manage the team of mechanics, handle scheduling, ensure compliance with safety standards, and oversee the satisfaction of internal clients.

Your main tasks will be as follows:

Lead & Unite

You will plan, organise and allocate tasks within a team of 5 collaborators -- multi-skilled mechanics, stamping mechanics and setters -- fostering their skills development on a daily basis.

You will work closely with the industrialisation teams and various production departments, making cross-functional links a true lever for collective performance.

Coordinate & Secure

You will rigorously manage workflows, ensuring the availability of tooling within the deadlines agreed with the Technical Office and production managers.

You will assess the needs for machines and tooling, oversee maintenance, manage stocks and anticipate the evolution of the service’s resources. You will implement detailed capacity management as well as relevant performance indicators (KPIs), in order to capitalise on know-how and lead coordination meetings (AIC).

You will master the manufacturing processes of tooling -- pliers, jigs, stamps -- and provide active technical support to the mechanics. Finally, you will handle non-conformities with method and exacting standards.

Improve, Secure & Perform

You will position yourself as a constant source of proposals for optimising tooling, seeking to improve their lifespan and associated processes.

You will ensure compliance with safety instructions within the workshop and guarantee the HSE conformity of equipment -- protections, extractions, chemical interfaces -- by vigilantly assessing risks.

Additionally, you will monitor the budget (capex/opex) with discipline, actively contributing to the overall performance of the service.

Your profile:

With a technical and mechanical education, you have significant experience of at least 5 years in a similar role and in the field of mechanics and/or tooling.

You have a very good knowledge of the mechanical field - particularly in tooling manufacture. Ideally, you are more specifically familiar with stamping manufacture.

You are proficient with common computer tools (PowerPoint, Excel...).

Optionally, your knowledge of CAD, machine tool programming and Lean methodology would be assets for the position.

You are recognised for your management skills, your ability to create links and unite teams.

Endowed with rigour and a process vision, you combine proactivity, diagnostic ability and analytical/synthetic skills.
