Role:
Network support means more than just processing tickets: it is about quickly narrowing down error patterns, recognising connections, and keeping the infrastructure permanently stable. In this role, you combine troubleshooting, network operation, and security and become an important contact for technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting & Support
You investigate complex network and security issues and find solutions at 2nd and 3rd level.
You support customers during disruptions and ensure their network environments function reliably again as quickly as possible.
Network Operation
You work with routing, switching, WLAN, firewall, and SD-WAN and support their stable operation.
You manage FortiGate and, depending on the environment, also work with Aruba, Juniper, or Cisco.
You monitor the network landscape using monitoring solutions and identify optimisation potential.
Changes & Development
You accompany migrations, changes, and technical projects and contribute your know-how to implementation.
You collaborate with network engineers and other IT teams and support the further development of the infrastructure.
You keep technical adjustments and developed solutions well documented.
Qualifications:
You have training as an IT specialist EFZ, ideally in platform development.
You have practical experience in IT support or network support.
You are familiar with routing, switching, WLAN, and firewall technologies and can analyse network problems in a structured way.
You bring experience with FortiGate; knowledge of Aruba, Juniper, or Cisco is an additional advantage.
You work independently, analytically, and solution-oriented and do not settle for symptom treatment when facing technical problems.
You enjoy expanding your know-how and learning about new technologies.
You have very good German skills and good English skills.
You are communicative, team-oriented, and enjoy working with different IT professionals.
