Role:

You have the opportunity to shape the future of digital payments and drive technological transformations. In this role, you take responsibility for translating complex business requirements into sustainable, highly secure, and state-of-the-art IT solutions. You work closely with experts, internal specialists, product and engineering teams to develop innovative payment products and drive the strategic evolution of payment processing and risk management platforms. You advise and lead critical architecture initiatives to bridge the gap between technical platform strategies and the target operating model. You are responsible for designing, building, and continuously improving IT solutions that are scalable and future-proof.

Responsibilities:

• You act as a driving architectural force in the evolution of legacy systems into next-generation platforms

• In this role, you align technical platform strategies with our target operating model

• As a Senior Solution Architect, you define integration strategies for complex payment processing systems

• You work on the architectural integration of risk management and fraud prevention solutions into our payment system

• In this role, you implement initiatives to modernise applications through event-driven architectures

• You support security teams in embedding security into every layer of the architecture

Qualifications:

• You have a university degree in computer science or a related field.

• You bring several years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, including a proven track record in designing and decoupling complex, large distributed systems with modern integration patterns.

• You possess deep knowledge of financial services infrastructure, transactional platforms, and payment processing workflows.

• You have practical knowledge in domain-driven design and microservices architecture, API design, and event-driven systems.

• You are a strong communicator in English and German, able to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• You are familiar with aligning technical platform strategies to target operating models and can effectively manage the required human and process maturity for large technological changes.

• You are fluent in German and English.
