Senior Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
Complex customer environments, modern cloud platforms and demanding infrastructure projects: This role is aimed at experienced system engineers who want to take on technical responsibility and not remain in classic administration.
Responsibilities:
Engineering and further development of demanding IT infrastructures
Design and implementation of cloud, hybrid and on-premises architectures
Realisation of complex migration and modernisation projects
Technical responsibility for Windows, virtualisation and network platforms
Building stable and secure remote desktop environments
Planning and optimisation of LAN, WLAN and security infrastructures
Integration and administration of firewalls, switches and access points
Development of automated monitoring and remote management processes
Use of PowerShell to standardise and automate operations
Handling demanding 2nd and 3rd level support cases
Systematic root cause analysis for performance, network and infrastructure issues
Technical support for customers in architecture decisions and modernisation projects
Creation of technical concepts, documentation and operational standards
Continuous improvement of availability, security and degree of automation
Qualifications:
Several years of experience as a system engineer, infrastructure engineer or comparable technical role
Sound knowledge of Windows Server and modern client platforms
Experience with Microsoft 365 and hybrid cloud architectures
Good knowledge of virtualisation technologies
Practical knowledge in networks, firewalls, routing and wireless
Experience with migrations and technical infrastructure projects
Knowledge of Remote Desktop Services or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
Experience with RMM, monitoring or observability
Ideally good PowerShell skills and interest in automation
Strong problem-solving skills and structured approach
Customer-oriented manner and enjoyment of varied technical tasks
Initiative, sense of responsibility and high technical willingness to learn
