The University Psychiatric Centre Bern is the leading competence centre for mental health. At the outpatient clinic for child and adolescent psychiatry at Hallerstrasse 10, we offer outpatient care for children, adolescents and their families in challenging life situations. As a medical secretary, you are the organisational hub that supports our interdisciplinary team in administrative matters and helps ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

Your tasks

• You carry out general secretarial and typing tasks and support our interdisciplinary treatment team in administrative duties
• You are the first point of contact on the telephone and triage enquiries from patients, guardians, staff and network partners
• You are responsible for organising and coordinating the outpatient clinics at the Bern outpatient clinic
• You maintain patient records (ORBIS) and record services (IBI-Care) in close cooperation with our specialist staff
• You manage time recording (PEP) for the staff of the Bern outpatient clinic
• You work on projects as well as quality assurance and promotion measures

Your profile

• You have completed commercial training, ideally with experience in the medical field or in a similar role
• Ideally, you have further training as a medical or hospital secretary
• Your reliability, commitment and flexibility distinguish you
• You are confident in dealing with children, adolescents and parents and have excellent manners
• You set priorities and complete tasks efficiently and independently – even in hectic moments you remain calm and professional
• You have excellent language skills in German and French (C1) and have a talent for writing texts
• Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) are part of your repertoire
