Responsibilities:
- Conducting material analyses, tests and examinations
- Developing and optimising materials and alloys for specific application areas
- Evaluating material properties and deriving recommendations for product improvements
- Collaborating with the development and production team in selecting and using suitable materials
- Preparing technical reports and documentation
- Researching and monitoring current developments in the field of materials engineering
- Participating in project teams and supporting the implementation of new material solutions
- Close cooperation with customers, suppliers and internal departments
Qualifications:
- Completed studies in materials science, materials engineering or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in material analysis, development or testing
- Sound knowledge of materials science, characterisation and testing methods
- Experience with material analysis devices and software
- Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
