Join ABB High Power Rectifiers’ product management team to play a pivotal role in driving the strategic development of our portfolio in interaction with local and global teams.Our core offerings are rectifier and power quality systems we provide according to the most challenging customer requirements, engineered to purpose, and based on extensive industry experience. We can cover the full connection from power grid or local generation to the customer process, if required as a turn-key delivery. This includes switchgear, transformers, control, cooling, busbar design and ABB manufactured converters at the core. You will take lead on the system aspect of our portfolio, ensuring that we can deliver the most attractive and competitive overall power supply solution for processes such as aluminum smelting, electric arc furnaces in steel production, electrowinning for minerals processing and chemical electrolysis.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead market intelligence activities to capture detailed insights into industry trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape
  • Develop and manage the lifecycle of systems and solutions from conceptualization to market launch and beyond
  • Define product strategies and roadmaps in alignment with broader business objectives
  • Collaborate with R&D and other stakeholders to translate market needs into technical specifications and innovative features
  • Monitor financial performance, including profitability and cost structures, and make strategic adjustments as needed
  • Oversee the development of training programs and marketing materials to ensure effective product launches and sustained market penetration

Your background

  • Minimum 3-5 years of technical experience in relevant industries (aluminum, steel, electrowinning, chemicals)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of functional experience with customer interfaces (Sales, Project Management, Product Management, …) in power supply systems
  • Proven success in strategic roles such as business development, product management or similar
  • Strong understanding of market analysis, requirement definition, product development, and lifecycle management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and with external partners
  • Technical University degree in related field, electric engineering is advantageous. Master’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is beneficial but not required
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required (up to 15%)
