As a member of the Global Planning Excellence (GPEX) organization, the Senior Manager reports to the Global Director of Integrated Business Planning, Demand Management, and Inventory Management. The GPEX team ensures best in class processes from people, processes, systems, and data perspective, enabling the planners to focus on their key activities. They ensure processes are robust, people are well trained and equipped with the proper capabilities, systems are continuously improved, and innovative solutions are implemented to facilitate the work.

The Senior Manager is responsible for developing, deploying, and implementing outstanding Inventory Health processes, tools, and system integration for our Plan organization. They will lead global process harmonization relating to Inventory reporting, Inventory projections and Inventory Health, and all associated steps to ensure appropriate inventory levels, enabling Johnson & Johnson cash target and contributing to our business growth.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Focus on improving global inventory capabilities, working in very close collaboration with Planning and Digital functions.

  • Determine inventory capability needs and implement process, technology, and strategies to ensure risks to inventory targets are proactively addressed, and global inventory levels are optimized.

  • Ensure process robustness through clear definition of all relevant inventory optimization, planning, and reporting steps, with clear owners and associated timing.

  • Drive implementation of proven methodologies in inventory planning and apply Process Excellence / Six Sigma tools to drive continuous improvement of inventory planning processes.

  • Measure process success through established and new metrics (data accuracy, gaps to targets, adherence to inventory entitlement, etc.).

  • Develop and maintain training material, and ensure all collaborators are trained as appropriate.

  • Benchmark standard inventory methodologies internal and external to J&J and incorporate as relevant so that our processes and GPEX organization keep on moving up the maturity curve.
