This position is accountable for all New Product Introductions at the site of Couvet, Switzerland. This includes leading the Manufacturing, Science and Technology, MS&T team. The site is currently expanding its capabilities and capacities, and there are future expansions planned.


Your strong technical knowledge and experience of transferring late clinical stage and commercial OSD projects will help you successfully oversee multiple projects in parallel.


Your excellent communication skills will ensure strong partnerships with customers, as well as internal departments.


This is a strategic role for the site and reports into the site head.


Experience / Education     

  •  20+ yrs experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, OSD preferred
  • 10+ yrs experience of new product introductions & technical transfer activities

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:  

  • Exceptional customer service and relationship skills
  • Experienced with OSD technical transfers including material supply, method transfer, DOE, NOR, registration & PPQ batches, incoming, release and stability testing, etc.
  • Experienced with resolving issues and communicating to clients
  • Working knowledge of global regulatory requirements (US, EU, etc.) & best practices including SUPAC and stability requirements
  • Experienced with primary & secondary packaging technical transfers including serialization, aggregation for the EU, US, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of Qualification & Validation (process, cleaning, method)
  • Enjoys a fast and dynamic work environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong analytics, solution oriented, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, fluent French & English. Chinese a plus.

  • Accountable for the good relationship with clients
    • Prior to awarding a project, as the main site contact for the client, you will reflect the WuXi values, providing prompt and frequent interaction, as well as a positive can-do attitude balanced with setting realistic expectations
    • During the project, ensuring the client's needs are met by knowing the site's capabilities and capacities, and having an overview of ongoing projects, you will find solutions that fit within the site
    • Communicating risks appropriately
  • Accountable for the successful completion of all Technical Transfer projects
    • Lead the MS&T team to ensure the seamless and successful transfer of products & processes
    • Lead your competent project managers to successfully manage multiple projects in parallel
    • Proactively collaborate with internal departments and external colleagues to implement innovative solutions to resolve problems and maintain timelines
  • Accountable for new client queries, including Request for Proposals (RfP)
    • Quickly understanding what is important to the client and preparing innovative proposals that meet their needs
    • Coordination with corporate and local site functions to ensure a rapid response to each & every query
  • Single point of contact for WuXi colleagues in relation to New Product Introductions, including
    • Colleagues at other WuXi STA sites that have late phase projects that may transfer to the Couvet site
    • Business Development, BD, who are the main team that introduces new clients to the site
  • Accountable for site costing model
    • Responsible for site costing
    • Alignment & communication of costing model with corporate and the site
  • Responsible for internal communication of status of New Product Introductions
    • Maintaining records of interactions with potential new customers, including status of current clients and potential opportunities
    • Collating feedback and identifying potential gaps the site has and how these can be filled
    • Proposing new capabilities / capacities to better meet customer needs
