Description
Under the supervision of a manager, responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the organization and review of evidence.
- Assisting with legal analysis and identifying relevant inculpatory and exculpatory elements.
- Reviewing and analyzing internal and external documents, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Conducting legal research on domestic and international law, jurisprudence, and decisions of other international institutions.
- Proof?reading and cite?checking investigative documents, including letters and preliminary findings.
- Updating internal administrative documents and trackers.
- Contributing to the development of precedent documents and training materials.
Profile
- Enrolled in or holder of a professional law degree (JD, LLM, or equivalent postgraduate legal qualification)
- A first professional experience in a law firm, a public prosecutor's office, or a domestic/international tribunal is an asset.
- Excellent drafting abilities with clear and precise writing.
- Proven academic strength in legal research and analysis.
- Familiarity with citation and referencing standards.
- Ability to produce well?structured, well?supported written work within deadlines.
- Capacity to work with confidential information in a sensitive environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken), French is a significant asset.
Job Offer
- Part?time position at 40-60% (to be discussed).
- Expected workload corresponds to approximately 16-24 hours per week.
- Initial 6?month contract, starting 1 April 2026, with potential extension.
