Your Responsibilities
- Perform high-throughput routine analytics for diverse compound classes, primarily focusing on small molecules, using LC-UV, LC-MS, SFC-UV, SFC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS, and RapidFire-MS techniques
- Analyse and interpret analytical data, applying statistical tools where necessary to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Document analytical raw data systematically using dedicated LIMS systems for comprehensive sample tracking and analysis management
- Design and optimise analytical methods for various platforms including LC-UV, LC-MS, SFC-UV, SFC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS, and RapidFire-MS
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation to ensure optimal performance
- Support the development and execution of enzyme screening assays in high-throughput (HTP) formats
- Collaborate with the biocatalysis team to advance sustainable process development initiatives
Your Profile
- Lab technician certification or BSc/MSc degree in analytical chemistry or related field, with ideally 4+ years of relevant experience (PhD candidates cannot be considered)
- Strong foundation in analytical chemistry with proven expertise in standard analytical techniques and small molecule detection
- Extensive hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and deep understanding of separation, detection, and measurement principles
- Proficiency in managing multiple repetitive routine operations simultaneously with high attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and documentation skills (record keeping, lab notebooks, reports)
- Experience with LC-MS and GC-MS for small molecule detection (desirable)
- Knowledge of triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (desirable) • Familiarity with analytical software such as MassHunter or Chromeleon (desirable)
- Team-oriented mindset with readiness to work in an international and multidisciplinary environment
- Open-minded personality with a proactive "can do" attitude
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Fluent English skills (oral and written)
