We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Academic Assistant Dean. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic excellence and innovative learning environment that SHMS is renowned for.

Responsibilities

As the Academic Assistant Dean, your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Dean in the development and implementation of academic strategies and policies.
• Overseeing the delivery of academic programmes to ensure high-quality standards and alignment with institutional goals.
• Supervising and mentoring faculty members to foster professional growth and excellence in teaching.
• Monitoring and evaluating academic performance and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
• Collaborating with other departments to enhance the student learning experience and promote interdisciplinary initiatives.
• Managing academic resources and budgets effectively to support programme delivery.
• Representing the institution at academic and industry events to strengthen partnerships and promote SHMS.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field, preferably in hospitality, education, or business management.
• Proven experience in academic leadership, preferably in a higher education institution.
• Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and its evolving trends.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team of faculty and staff.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or other languages is an advantage.
• Commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.
