We are looking for the Head of income section of an international organization. This is a temporary assignment requiring immediate availability starting with a 6-month contract.
Our client is an international organization located in Geneva.
Description
The organization requires interim leadership for the income which is responsible for revenue accounting, payment processing, fee redistribution to contracting parties and customer financial services.
Their objective is to provide senior financial management and leadership with relevant information and data to ensure continuity of revenue operations, accounting compliance, and financial planning during a 6-month transition period.
The head of income section will be responsible for the following:
- Support in the preparation of annual financial statements for the organization prepared in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standard (IPSAS)
- Prepare data and information in response to external audit requests and queries during both interim and final audit phases. Assist with additional work required for the on-boarding of new external audit teams
- Analyse data for additional financial statement disclosures concerning sustainability, investment performance, and program and budget KPIs
- Ensure the progress of the revenue team towards project goals, notably with respect to the implementation of a new ERP System for the accounts receivable function
- Identify opportunities and use case scenarios for the use of AI and Agentic AI in revenue processes
- Ensure continuity of revenue operations incorporating project related changes where necessary
Profile
The successful Head of income section will come with the following background and experience :

First level university degree plus membership of a Professional Body of Accountants, or advanced university degree in accounting, finance or business administration

At least 10 years of professional experience in the financial and/or accounting field, including audit or advisory work

A sound understanding of accounting principles, and knowledge of IPFRS and IAS and/or IPSAS

Ability to analyze, review and control data, and perform accurate calculations for inclusion in financial statements

Drafting skills for financial statement disclosures and accounting policy papers

Management skills, resource planning and performance management

Ability to communicate and draft documentation in English

A demonstrated experience in Auditing and managing queries and facilitating external auditors
- Demonstrated experience managing a team of finance professionals within a results-based framework
