About the job

The Verdeil Foundation is a private institution of public utility, recognised by the Directorate General of Compulsory Education of the Canton of Vaud (DGEO).

It offers tailored learning situations for children and adolescents with special needs. With more than 500 staff members, it comprises six schools, five TEM training centres (school-to-work transition), a mobile educational service and a UAT (temporary reception unit).

We are looking for a

School Principal

For our Arcangier School in Vevey (8 classes from 1P to 11S)

Start date: 1 January 2027 or by arrangement

Your Mission

At the crossroads of pedagogy and management, you ensure the overall leadership of the establishment.

Specifically, you:

• guarantee the smooth running of the school, both pedagogically and organisationally
• coordinate activities and various stakeholders
• manage a multidisciplinary team of nearly 40 staff members
• actively contribute to embedding the school in its social and institutional environment

Your Profile

You combine pedagogical expertise and leadership:

• Master’s degree in special education or an equivalent qualification recognised by the CDIP
• Proven experience in team leadership and project management
• Good knowledge of issues related to disability (a CAS in autism is an asset)
• Organisational skills, rigour and ease in administrative management
• Natural leadership and ability to establish a structured and secure framework
