DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineers (m/w/d) to join our client in Fribourg and support in the next implementation phase. Your role will be crucial in migrating the next batches of customers to the new solution on time.

DevOps Engineer - 100% workload

Project Overview:

With the service «Billing & Analytics 2.0», our client provides customers with an easy-to-use application. The application is a managed service in the form of a web application that the customer can access. The user can view and further process the invoices, cost and usage data provided (analyses, reports, exports, etc.).

The Service is characterised in part by the following key features and functionalities:

- 360° view of cost and usage data, with the option for individual evaluation (e.g. by cost type or usage behavior)

- Online administration of invoices and billing options

- View all invoice documents

- Product-specific analyses and functions

We are looking for an additional developer to support us in the next implementation phase in order to migrate our next batches of customers to the new solution in time.

Your responsibilities:

• Designing, developing and operating effective and innovative functionalities for a customer- and agent- facing B2B billing system
• Developing and refactoring complex parts for the backend of the system with Java, Spring Boot and OPA
• Implementing user-friendly frontend elements with React
• Refining and optimizing database queries to enhance the overall system performance
• Conducting code reviews, ensuring that the team's output is of high quality and aligned with our overall technical objectives
• Performing deployment and releasing activities as well as monitoring and managing system errors
• Taking responsibility for high system availability also outside office hours as part of the on-call service

Your profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in Informatics or equivalent education
• Any additional courses and certifications in-line with the described tasks and/or skills are a plus

Skills must have:

• Baseline software engineering skills: git with PR-based workflow, CI/CD practices, SCRUM/SAFE agile notions.
• Strong Java programming experience, including Spring/Spring Boot and Maven
• Strong SQL and relational database design experience, ideally with PostgreSQL
• Experience with containers (Docker) for application packaging
• Experience with system design and architecture
• High-level English skills (C1) are mandatory

Skills nice to have:

• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience in frontend SPA development using Javascript and React
• Skills in French and/or German are a non-neglectable plus
