On behalf of a client active in precision mechanics, optics, and the watchmaking industry, we are looking for an experienced CNC setter for a temporary engagement. The position focuses on working with Bumotec machines, handling precious metals and complex parts, in an environment where quality and precision are paramount. The company is part of the industrial fabric of the Neuchâtel region and collaborates with demanding players in jewellery and watchmaking. The hired person will work in production with direct responsibility for setting, series monitoring, and adherence to high tolerance standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the complete and autonomous setting of Bumotec CNC machines, following defined procedures and manufacturing plans.
- Carry out series changes, start-ups, and necessary adjustments on complex precious metal parts according to quality requirements.
- Inspect produced parts using standard measuring tools and document control results in accordance with internal instructions.
- Identify production drifts, propose setting corrections, and intervene promptly to ensure machining process stability.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure deadlines, tolerances, and finishing standards imposed by jewellery and watchmaking are met.
Profile
- You have proven experience as a CNC setter in a watchmaking environment.
- Ideally, you have prior experience in jewellery or high-end component manufacturing.
- You are comfortable working with precious metals and complex technical parts.
- You work methodically, precisely, and remain focused on the quality of the result.
- You appreciate a structured framework and are capable of adhering to defined production procedures.
