About the job
The emergency centres for adults and children/adolescents at the Inselspital are available 24/7, 365 days a year for patients and their relatives. Patient management ensures administrative admission and supports the medical and nursing teams in a dynamic and demanding environment. As a team leader, you will professionally, personally, and organisationally lead around 15 employees. Together with your team, you ensure a reliable 24-hour operation and actively shape the further development of patient management.
What to expect
- Participation in defining departmental goals as well as deriving and implementing corresponding team objectives
- Ensuring demand-oriented duty and deployment planning in the 24-hour operation
- Responsibility for recruiting, onboarding, supporting, and further developing employees
- Ensuring complete, accurate, and timely administrative patient admission
- Guaranteeing a binding flow of information within the team and towards relevant interfaces
- Active involvement in designing and implementing process optimisations, digitalisation, and automation projects
- Handling and coordinating complex operational situations in day-to-day business
- Operational work as a patient manager in the emergency centre
What you bring
- Completed commercial, medical-administrative, or comparable service-oriented vocational training
- Several years of professional experience in healthcare, preferably in patient admission, patient administration, or an emergency environment
- Proven leadership experience; further training in leadership, management, or organisation is an advantage
- Good knowledge of the Swiss social insurance system and administrative admission processes
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good oral skills in French and English
- Confident use of digital tools and a strong affinity for digitalisation and automation
- Strong organisational, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- High service orientation with a calm, reliable demeanour – even in hectic or stressful situations
