Infrastructure Consultant & Engineer (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF105,000 - 130,000Our ROCKEN partner is a specialised Swiss distributor and system integrator for secure storage, backup, and archiving solutions. Role:
Understanding technology and drawing the right conclusions from it is your core task. You scrutinise customer infrastructures, identify weaknesses and outdated components. From this, you develop architecture and implementation concepts that are technically convincing. You present your recommendations directly to customers without sales pressure. In project work, you support the technical teams and work closely with engineering.
Responsibilities:
You analyse customers' IT infrastructures and identify technical renewal and optimisation needs
You develop suitable solution concepts as well as IT architecture and implementation plans
You provide technically sound advice to customers, moderate workshops, and present solution approaches
You professionally support existing customers and further develop their environments
You assist the technical teams in ongoing projects and coordinate with project management and engineering
Additionally, you monitor developments in infrastructure, security, and modern workplace and assess their benefits
Qualifications:
You have completed IT training
You bring several years of experience as a system engineer; knowledge of archiving and backup technologies is a plus
You are familiar with Microsoft environments, virtualisation, network technology, backup solutions, and IT security
You think customer-oriented and develop pragmatic solutions
You impress with confident demeanour and appreciate direct exchange with customers
You work independently, structured, and purposefully
