ZurichYour Tasks
- You assess and clarify entitlement and ensure economic and personal social assistance based on the Social Assistance Act, the Asylum Care Ordinance, and other laws and guidelines.
- You support clients in difficult psychosocial situations within an interdisciplinary team together with caregivers and psychologists.
- You assert legal claims against third parties according to the principle of subsidiarity.
- You maintain case documentation using our case management system (Tutoris).
- You promote and support clients in their professional, social, and cultural integration through goal- and resource-oriented counselling (according to the Zurich Integration Agenda).
- You initiate and implement appropriate measures in collaboration with internal and external specialists and professional organisations.
Your Profile
- Degree in Social Work (FH) or completed studies in Sociology, Ethnology, Educational Sciences, Human Geography with willingness to further educate in social assistance law.
- Diplomas from abroad must already be submitted to the SBFI (State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation) and a "measure" must be in place or started.
- Professional experience and knowledge in social assistance and asylum matters.
- Professional experience in outreach social work is an advantage.
- Interest in outreach social work with people in challenging life situations (e.g. addiction, mental illness, etc.).
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Commercial flair and good knowledge of financial matters.

Your Salary
Your gross salary for a 100% workload is expected to be between 100,000 and 125,000 Swiss francs per year.
The exact salary depends on your education and professional experience. During the selection process, we will determine your salary based on our salary guidelines. Applicants who do not yet have the required knowledge or experience may be classified below the salary range in individual cases. Additionally, AOZ pays allowances for work at night and on Sundays. Further salary development depends on your performance and AOZ's financial possibilities.
