The Zurich Children’s Hospital, with around 3,000 employees, is the largest university children’s hospital in Switzerland and one of the leading centres for paediatrics and adolescent medicine in Europe. The greatest asset of the "Kispi" are the little ones: up to 100,000 patients are cared for annually, and in 47 specialist departments we do everything for their well-being. Not only are the most modern equipment and the highest quality in treatment paramount at Kispi, but also a good sense for interpersonal matters. In addition to the entire spectrum of paediatric and paediatric surgical care, the Children’s Hospital also offers a unique rehabilitation centre and a research centre.

Your Tasks

You independently manage and administer a fixed group of employees (alphabetical allocation) from entry to exit in hourly and monthly wages.
The monthly payroll runs for all 3,000 employees are carried out as a team – you ensure the flawless preparation of your group.
You confidently handle allowances, irregular shift models, and the correct processing of withholding taxes.
You maintain personnel and payroll master data in our Hospis system and ensure high data quality.
After familiarising yourself with daily business, you actively contribute to HR projects, question existing processes, and optimise our payroll procedures.
You support the team on a professional level and act as a competent contact person for line managers on complex payroll issues.

Your Profile

You bring several years of solid experience in payroll for a large company (ideally 1,500+ employees). Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus but not essential.
You are well versed in Swiss social security law, withholding tax matters, as well as the UVG and KTG areas. An HR qualification (e.g. HR specialist certificate or payroll specialist) underpins your knowledge.
Ideally, you have already worked with Hospis or quickly familiarise yourself with new HR systems.
You have a strong IT affinity and are very proficient in using MS Excel for the structured and efficient preparation of data.
You think ahead, like to get involved, have a proactive mindset, and appreciate a dynamic, complex environment.
