Interim Head Librarian 50% to 60%

The BEJUNE University of Teacher Education trains teachers from the cantons of Bern (French-speaking part), Jura and Neuchâtel. It operates across three sites, located in Biel, Delémont and La Chaux-de-Fonds.

HEP-BEJUNE is advertising the following position for the media library at the Biel site:

Your main duties

• Ensure the smooth running of the media library
• Lead and coordinate the media library team
• Contribute to the development of the media library and its services, in collaboration with other site managers and the head of media libraries
• Implement the collection development policy and contribute to the promotion of physical and electronic resources
• Support the enhancement of media library activities and ensure user support in information literacy skills
• Manage various projects related to the media libraries and participate in working groups
• Participate in the routine tasks of the media library

Your profile

• Degree from a university of applied sciences (Bachelor or Master in information science) or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience in an academic library, including team leadership
