About the job
What if your purchasing decisions became a real value lever for an institution serving the canton of Vaud? If you have developed solid expertise in purchasing management and know how to combine rigour and diplomacy to unite, we want to meet you!
To strengthen our Directorate of Cross-Functional Services (DST), we are looking for our future
Purchasing Manager 80-100%
You will link the strategic directions of the management with their concrete implementation on the ground. You will become a key link in our cost control, regulatory compliance and sustainability strategy, working closely with all our divisions.
What awaits you if you join us?
You will establish and manage purchasing governance, building a culture of shared purchasing with all divisions, integrating our performance, sustainability and compliance challenges.
You will translate these objectives into an action plan that you will monitor over time, disseminate the purchasing policy and manual to the network of purchasing referents and managers, ensure their understanding and operational implementation, and identify opportunities for cost and process optimisation.
As a driving force, you will animate and support this network, accompanying each purchasing stakeholder in their role. You will organise experience-sharing sessions, clarify roles and organise the sharing of practices, and intervene upstream of acquisition phases to ensure compliance, while maintaining a quality supplier panel.
Finally, you will produce purchasing analyses and indicators, and provide regular reporting to management on progress and arbitration needs.
Your profile:
You hold a higher education degree (university or university of applied sciences) in management/economics or a federal specialist purchasing certificate. A certification in Swiss public procurement (procure.ch, IDHEAP) is an asset.
You have more than 10 years of experience in purchasing, including management or coordination responsibilities.
You know how to unite your interlocutors, defend purchasing rules firmly and discerningly, and transform a strategic direction into measurable actions. You master common office tools as well as ERP-type systems, and know how to structure data for clear dashboards.
With very good writing and communication skills, you have perfect command of French, both spoken and written.
Does this opportunity inspire you?
We look forward to receiving your application by 26 October 2026. A cover letter is not required. We simply invite you to attach your CV, all your work certificates and diplomas, as well as 3 to 4 lines describing how your profile resonates with the position and your salary expectations.
