The Sports Service (SPO) is responsible in particular for the management and maintenance of sports centres, stadiums, municipal swimming pools and ice rinks. It provides numerous infrastructures and facilities to the population of Geneva and encourages the practice of "Sport for all" by organising schools for young people and activities for adults and seniors. Pool Maintenance Mechanic at 100%
Your mission and responsibilities
- Deliver pool and public basin water that complies with Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects standard 385/9 relating to water and water regeneration installations in public pools. In case of any shortcomings, you immediately take corrective measures.
- Ensure optimal operation of technical installations through appropriate maintenance or repair service.
- Secure the pools by participating in the 24/7 technical on-call duty.
Your profile
- Hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) in a technical profession (preferably electrician or mechanic).
- Possess a driving licence for light vehicles.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of pool water treatment.
- Hold the federal certificate for the use of biocidal products (Oper-D) or be willing to obtain it.
- Have basic knowledge of common IT tools.
- Accept irregular working hours including evening, weekend and public holiday shifts.
- Ensure, on a rota basis, one week of 24/7 on-call duty.
- Reside in the Canton of Geneva or within the authorised residential zone.
