Public Lighting Specialist (80-100%)
You bring light into the dark - efficiently, safely and environmentally consciously.
Streets, paths and squares need lighting that provides orientation and safety. At the same time, modern lighting should consume as little energy as possible, protect the environment and be controllable intelligently. This is exactly where you come in.
As a public lighting specialist, you plan and develop the lighting infrastructure in the region. You assess existing systems, design renovations and accompany the implementation from the initial idea to commissioning. In doing so, you combine electrical engineering expertise with a good sense of light quality, cost-effectiveness and environmental compatibility.
Your tasks
- You check and assess the standard-compliant illumination of streets, paths and squares.
- You design renovations and renewals of public lighting systems.
- You create maintenance and multi-year renovation plans and coordinate their implementation.
- You provide technical guidance to planners and fitters and accompany maintenance work as well as renovation projects.
- You monitor new technologies, evaluate innovative lighting and sensor systems and integrate them into the WWZ system landscape.
- You check environmental requirements and standards and ensure their consistent implementation.
- You maintain technical and commercial data in SAP IS-U, GIS and ECM.
- You write correspondence, short reports and offers for external clients.
- You answer technical questions from authorities, business partners, customers and clients.
- You participate in the introduction and further development of databases, order and maintenance tools.
Your profile
You have completed training as an electrical installer EFZ, assembly electrician EFZ or a comparable basic electrical education. Ideally, you have completed further training as SLG Lighting Specialist 2 "Specialisation".
In addition, you bring:
- several years of experience in the electricity sector, ideally as an expert
- solid knowledge in lighting technology or the electricity sector
- a higher professional examination or federal professional examination in the electrical industry is an advantage
- experience with sensors and intelligent control systems is an advantage
- good knowledge of common Microsoft Office applications
- SAP knowledge is an advantage
- a strong IT affinity
- good German language skills
- a category B driving licence
You work carefully and take responsibility for the quality and safety of our systems. You represent your professional assessment convincingly, negotiate skilfully and implement projects consistently. At the same time, you handle environmental issues sensitively and seek solutions that sensibly combine safety, light quality and sustainability.
What awaits you at WWZ
With us, you help shape an infrastructure that is visible and tangible to many people every day. You receive a lot of personal responsibility, work with different departments and can actively promote new technologies.
Look forward to varied projects, modern work equipment, short decision-making paths and a collegial environment. Together we ensure that the region is safely, efficiently and appropriately illuminated in the future.
