Payroll Specialist (m/f/d) 80 -100%
Your responsibilities
- You independently carry out the monthly payroll processing for around 1800 employees in Abacus and ensure correct and timely payroll accounting
- You perform periodic closing tasks, controls and reconciliations and work closely with Finance, Controlling, HR Business Partners and HR Administration
- You support employees subject to withholding tax and handle cross-border payroll matters including withholding tax processing
- You conduct time recording checks in SAP and Abacus and ensure high data quality in the HR and payroll systems
- You support system adjustments and releases, conduct payroll tests and document the results comprehensibly
- You contribute to managing the organisational structure in Abacus and SAP HCM as well as to the correct implementation of legal and organisational changes
- You advise employees and managers competently and service-oriented on payroll-related issues
- You support HR Business Partners and HR Administration and also handle complex enquiries regarding salary, social security and withholding tax
- You ensure compliance with labour, social security and tax law requirements and support internal and external audits
- You participate in HR and payroll projects and support digitalisation, automation as well as the introduction and optimisation of systems
Your profile
- You have a commercial basic education or an equivalent qualification.
Further training in payroll, social security or human resources, such as Payroll Expert or HR certificate, is an advantage - You bring several years of professional experience in payroll, ideally from a larger and complex organisation
- You have very good knowledge of the Swiss salary and social security system as well as good knowledge of labour and withholding tax law
- You have experience working with authorities, insurance companies and auditors
- You work confidently with HR and payroll systems, especially SAP HCM and Abacus, and have a high IT affinity as well as very good Excel skills
- You think analytically, work independently, structured and precisely and convince with a strong affinity for numbers and pronounced problem-solving skills
- You are trustworthy and discreet, communicative, service-oriented and a team player. You work reliably and meet deadlines even under high workload
- You communicate very well in German. French skills are an advantage.
