General Accountant - Try & Hire 6 months

About the role

As an Accountant, you will join a team of four people directly supporting the chief accountant. You will be responsible for the operational and analytical management of a portfolio of one or more companies, offering a complete view of financial accounting.

We offer you

• A comprehensive and versatile role giving you real autonomy over the entire accounting cycle.
• A 6-month Try & Hire contract: 6 months under contract with Academic Work followed by a permanent contract within the company

Tasks

• Ensure the maintenance of general accounting for one or more entities of the group
• Manage the supplier cycle (entry, verification and payments) as well as bank reconciliations.
• Perform monthly and annual closings
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for several companies
• Produce financial reports and analyse the P&L

We are looking for

• Higher education in accounting or finance

• Proven experience in general accounting (from data entry to closings).

• Theoretical or practical knowledge related to VAT management and bank reconciliations.

• Ability to analyse numerical data and explain variations.

An advantage if you have

• First experience or knowledge in a multi-company or multi-activity environment.
