Tasks
Processing applications for supplementary benefits: You receive incoming applications for supplementary benefits and prepare them in contact with the applicants.
Perform initial calculation: You identify which documents are needed to carry out an initial calculation regarding a possible entitlement to supplementary benefits.
Mutations / revisions: You check and revise ongoing entitlements.
Teamwork: You are part of a team and contribute constructively with your ideas and suggestions.
Profile
Experience: You have several years of professional experience, preferably in the field of social insurance or private insurance, a strong flair for numbers as well as an independent, goal-oriented and precise way of working.
Personality: You are a trustworthy, sociable and curious personality and convince with your service-oriented and professional appearance. With your team spirit, you support a positive working atmosphere.
Education: You have a commercial apprenticeship (EFZ) as well as further training in social insurance.
Language: You can express yourself accurately and without errors both orally and in writing; additional language skills are an advantage.

The Office for Social Contributions is responsible for the payment of various social benefits in the canton of Basel-Stadt and belongs to the Department of Economy, Social Affairs and Environment. It examines entitlements to alimony assistance, disability assistance, supplementary benefits, premium reductions, rent contributions and other social benefits.
